For example this quote,

"It's a sin to kill a mockingbird"

I know mockingbirds are good and are destroyed by evil, but how does it relate to modern life? Maybe bullying?

  1. It's not all about that quote. Throughout the book, Jem and Scout develop maturity and change as they go through their p*****n years. The main theme in that book (to me, anyway) is how they gradually mature with age, and Scout's response to Jem's sudden growth. After you read about their growing up and all that, connect it to real life: have you ever been surprised by someone's sudden maturity? I hope that helps a little bit, I just finished reading that book for school.

  2. well to kill a mocking bird is mostly about racism and segregation and beleive it or not those things still go on today. people will think one race is better than another liek maybe some people now adays dislike asian people or black people or maybe mexican and whites too!

all im saying is that rasism still lives on and it is everywhere
