Well, it called humiliation.  She is embarrassed to be overweight.  So she covers it up with this defensive persona she's been displaying since.  Like okay Tara, now that you're fat, you want to touch on models being thin????  If she was the same thin model, she wouldn't care. she would still act as if she is better than everyone else.  So, I can't say that this is a reality check for her.  It's her way of dealing w/ her embarrassment in the pulic eye.

She is a multi-millionaire who recieves nothing but adulation from those around her. That probably helps her sleep at night.
