Using online trading (highly doubt), through a stockbroker, or anything else? I jus really would like to know, please tell me if you kno.

Since he buys in blocks, on-line is not practical, so they call on of the firms they deal with and go from there

Value investing is one of the most research and time intense strategies you can choose and the learning curve is pretty steep. You'll need to work really hard at it for several years to master the strategy. If detailed analysis and extensive research suits your investing style then this might be the perfect strategy. I personally prefer index investing (ETFs and Index Funds) since it's a passive strategy that requires very little effort or research on my part and I'm still guaranteed to get the market return or better (depending on my asset allocation and diversification mix).
