Since Youtube is owned by google, parts of the google funds go into youtube. It is also financed by dontations and  other people post the videos, not Youtube, so they dont need money for videos

Its advertisment galore over there. They dont have many though because advertisers pay so much.

Google bought over YouTube a couple years back for 1.65 Billion dollars. It is pretty much being funded by Google and through video advertising which is still slowly expanding. Only certain youtube videos have ads on them but slowly but surely they will all have some time of inline advertising.

That said Google also expanded on the video advertising market last year to increase market exposure. Pretty much all income comes from online advertising for both companies.
