  1. ask your grandparents.

  2. Depending on where you live you can rake leaves or shovel snow. Go to the store for invalids, wash windows, walk dogs. Look around you will see many things you can do. And you will probably have fun doing it. Good luck

  3. Uhm, there are alot of ways but most of them are immoral..heh. I'll give you a list of things I did when I was 11 to buy myself a minifridge. I vacuumed the whole upstairs for $15 (I had a small upstairs). It's really easy to do if you have a good vacuum. I was really weak when I was 11 and I handled it. You can sell lemonade. Now I know this sounds stupid because your PARENTS probably tell you to do this. But guess what? You can sell the lemonade in really small cups and also sell pretzels, which are salty. Then they will want to buy more lemonade in small cups to quench their thirst. I did that before and made $25 in an hour and a half. You can splash paint onto paper and call it "abstract art", then sell each one for $10 a piece. You could help your mom out with the dishes and she'll probably have some cash to pay you for that. I sold my old c**p to idiots that thought my stuff was awesome. The last thing I did was blow my nose into a tissue and sell it on eBay as "Ludacris' tissue". And goshdangit, I made $100 off of that. I hope that helps. And always earn things for yourself and not have your parents buy them for you! I made that mistake and had to force myself to earn things for myself.

  4. First, ask your parents' permission.  Call people you and your parents know.  Don't call strangers or go to strangers' homes!! Tell the people you know that you are trying to earn a violin.  Give them your name and phone number and services you could offer to help them, especially over your winter break, and how much you would charge. You could provide services as a dog walker, yard cleaner, grass cutter or snow clearer (depending on your weather), mail and newspaper collector while people are on vacation, gardener, etc.  If you and your parents know any stay at home moms with little kids, you could be a mother's helper and play with them while the mother is at home doing housework, etc.  Be sure the mom doesn't leave though, because you are legally too young to babysit.  Think of things you are able to do that would help people.  When people call you back check with your parents to make sure that they agree with what the people are asking you to do.  Also make sure your parents think that these are good people to work for.  If they don't, DON'T DO IT.  Your safety is much more important than an electric violin!!  Good luck!  I admire your initiative!
