1. "Your god is fake."

  2. Are the particularly religious? Next time they mention religion, just casually say that you're still not one hundred percent sure what you believe yet. Let them know you respect their religion, but that you want to make your own decision!

  3. ahhahaah i am in the same sittuation =]

im just not going to tell them

just so they keep loving me lol.

  4. If you're a Christian, you could refuse Christmas presents since it is tied to a religious dogma.

  5. It really depends on how rational your parents are. If I were you, I wouldn't tell them. Religion is a personal decision, and if you think it will cause conflict there's no reason to share it with them. Try to avoid religious discussions, and don't criticize their faith. If they make you go to church, you can go and be respectful but not fully participate. I'm agnostic, and I know my parents wouldn't have responded well if I told them at 14, or even 10 years later. They'd try to change my mind and persuade me to their beliefs, which would just cause arguments.

Also, if you think they might punish you until you change your mind, you could wait til you're older to share it with them. But if you feel you should tell them now, just be sure not to criticize their beliefs in explaining yours. Tell them you respect their beliefs but that you don't feel the same.

  6. Depends, what religion are they. If they have none, just come right out and tell them

  7. it depends on whether your parents are very religious people and go to church weekly or not. my boyfriend is agnostic and his mother and father and he is still made to go to church.my best friend decided she was after reading sylvia brown books and some others and she decided not to tell her parents because she doesn't go to church often anyways.maybe you should start off with asking questions and then saying that maybe you wouldn't exactly believe some of it and making it more of you speaking your opinion and not rebelling against their wishes. also maybe it would scare them a little knowing that you made a big decision with out them so try to help them understand that you should have your own beliefs too.

  8. Just remind your parents that although you respect their religion, you are old enough to have your own views on the big picture of things. It may take time, but they will accept it.
