Question:

How does a 'Nash' vacuum pump operates? I saw one at work...?

its used to 'suck off' juice from mud...from what i analyzed there is one inlet to the pump that draws air from the atmosphere..the other i assume is what draws the juice in..but I am not sure how the pump itself works....thanks...

  1. Liquid ring pumps seem to be the main product of Gardner Denver Nash, so I'll assume you are asking about a liquid ring pump, the Wikipedia article has a pretty good description, though no pictures http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liquid_ring

    If you go to the "Library" link on the Gardner Denver Nash web site ( http://www.gd-nash.com/ ) there is some information on how they work, the Flash animations are pretty basic, but in combination with the written description at Wikipedia they should give you a good idea.
