How does a BA from the UK look like in the U.S.A.?

If I study in the UK and get a BA, how will that look like when I come back to U.S.A.? will it look really good? what's the difference between a BA here and the UK?

  1. Great if it's from Oxbridge or LSE.


  2. Bachelors degrees from the UK and from the US are considered equivalent. In the end, there's no difference between BAs from comparable schools.

    The "wow" factor, if there is one, comes from where you go to school - just like in the US. I mean, there's a difference in prestige between Oxford and Manchester Metropolitan University, just like there's a difference between Harvard and Southern New Hampshire University.

    That said, a BA in many parts of the UK takes three years, versus four in the US. It's also set up differently in terms of how you study for it. But in the end, it's considered the same.


  3. I would look at it the same as if it were a US based degree.
