How does a Marine Corps Officer get duty with a SmallUnitRiverineCraft platoon?

What would his duties consist of?

Would he be out in the water with the other Marines, or would he just sit behind a desk?

well, sir(i'm assuming you are indeed an officer). i don't have an exact answer but i do have a friend in the navy who is an ao2(he's an E6 hull technician) and he is on a riverine squadron and just got back from iraq. if you email me your phone number i will gladly give it to him and he will call you. oorah and semper fidelis
