Former Moroccan citizen with lots of experience in Electrical Technician and is now an American Citizen looking for work in this field while going to school to learn the American electrical codes. Employers, how would you like to see his foreign experience listed on his resume? Would you count his 10+ years of foreign Building Electrical experience?

  1. Don't worry! Definitely count the experience, just be sure to list the location. Say something along the lines of: "currently in ____ School updating my knowledge on U.S. electrical codes."  If you'd like some help contact me (my prices are reasonable).

  2. hi, don't waste your time.  I got many professional certificates from HK and UK; also have over 10 yrs working experiences in office.  I also cannot get an opportunity for an interview here.  it is hard to find a job that is the same as you did at your hometown.  Unless you start over your life in studying at college/university here, otheerwise u only can get the job at department store/fast food restaurant ..etc. and earn the min. wages.

this year, I took some online course from community college, the situation is also the same.  I have no idea.
