I know how most of it works just not how you put the water back in. When you turn the valve off and the water starts to will your tank back up, doesn’t the water of chlorine in it? Do you just add the stuff to the tank before you add the water?

Thanks

  1. the python gravel siphon connects to the kitchen faucet the bottom of the piece that connects to faucet has 2 postions which are basicly open or closed in the open position the water flowing thru it create suction in the closed position the water flows thru it and the attached hose they come in 2 sizes a 25 foot and a 50 foot hose to reach the tanks in different rooms they are great for siphoning the gravel or just doing partial water changes the only draw back to them is if you have chloranated water since it does not de chlornate the water you shouldn't use it to put water back into the tank

I am lucky I have well water and can use it both ways I use a digital meat thermoter and with it in the open position with out siphoning water from the tanks match water to go into the tanks with the tank temps and fill them straight from the sink no carring water for me thank god I have 6 tanks running now nothing under 55 gallons and getting more all the time

  2. I'm not sure, but I think from your post you already know how to replace water, and you're just asking about dechlorinating it. If that's the case, the pamphlet sas that the bubbles created from the turbulence as the water falls into the tank should be enough to dissipate the chlorine.

On the other hand, they said adding a dose of dechlorinator to be safe will not harm it.
