terrapass and carboneutral are ok if you want to fund the projects they are doing, but you can offset some or all of your footprint if you really want to. I offset my energy use by recycling enough to save as much energy as i use.  Card board has paid for all my gasoline the last 3 years.

Recycling 1 pound of plastic saves 12,000 btu's.

Recycling 1 12 oz aluminum can saves electrical energy equal to 6 oz. of gasoline. These #'s per EPA or earth 911.
