How does a basketball court turn into a ice rink?

There are many teams that play in the same arena. What's the process called and is there a site where I can read about it? Sounds kind of interesting...

Just set up boards and flood it. it makes an ice rink if it's cold enough outside.

Other way around actually- the ice rink is bigger and due to the refrigeration systems, has to be on the bottom.

they put a mat or something else down over the ice, and then they put the court on top of the ice...
