Question:

How does a camera work???

How does a small little box, capture colour and shapes and then duplicates it onto a digital data?!

( In a matter of seconds! )

Seriously, how can it suck in the colour / sounds / images light tones when you just click a little button?!

It completely baffles me....

  1. it has light  sensitive material which generates electric signal with different magnitude for different light depending upon color intensity etc.

    When you click button lens opens for a fraction of second and it makes the entire image u have focused to be captured on the light sensitive material.

    Camera reads signal and image is generated

    In older cameras with film, the film contains light sensitive material which change itself for different light.


  2. It baffles me too!

    According to Terry Pratchett's world, its a little imp who sits inside the body and is very quick at sketching. I don't know if it is still an imp inside digital cameras or not. But it don't takes seconds to do it. My Canon 40D can take up to 6.5 shots per second. It may still be an impo. Maybe he just sketches and then when i'm driving home he uploads them onto his little laptop and then onto my memory card.

    Like i said, it baffles me too:)
