  1. Eggs are porous - air can get in. This is how eggs go off; if you leave an egg too long and then crack it open, ever noticed how there's a bubble between the membrane and the shell?


  2. How does a baby breathe inside mums stomach?? Its the same deal, they get their oxygen needs through the nutrients, same as a baby.

  3. there's this thin layer of membrane under the shell, forming a layer of air which the chick can breathe...

  4. It doesnt. Thats why when you make eggs you get eggs instead of chicken.
