How does a coal powered plant work?

Umm how do they work? I thought that they burn coal to produce energy... im prolly way wrong. please help

  1. Coal is burned to produce heat.

    Heat is used to produce steam in boiler.

    steam is used to power generators.

    Generators spin to produce electricity.

    Electricity is used to produce an electric bill.

    Electric bills are used to produce anger in your father.

    Anger in your father is used to produce hurt feelings in you.

    Hurt feelings in you are used to give reason to yell at the dog.

    Yelling at the dog is used to produce peeing in the corner.

    Peeing in the corner is used to produce odor.

    Odor is used to produce wrinkled nosed

    I think I have to take a nap now.  All of this usage has made me tired.   ZZZZzzzzzzzz.
