How does a country expand its borders?

Well a contry to expand its borders its tough.

Even if it tryes with military invasion organisations like NATO can attack them and make them leave the ocupied territor.



A contry to expand its borders it needs to have a kind of a document that tells that the contry that is trying to expand its borders has been owner of that other states territory , that kind of gives right to the contry witch wants to expand its borders but it still isnt easy coz there inocent people can die and the world doesnt wants that so they might attack to put order in the world.

Well one of the more acceptable ways would be through unification. Of course that is a mutual benefit thing, whereby both yourself and the country you are amalgamating with are losing your separate sovereignty to form one independent country.

Consider the USA if you will. Before the War of Independence there were 13 colonies all of which were British. Now they could have fought the war and become 13 independent countries or they could have unified and done so together.
