How does a creditor get inquiries off a credit report?

i have sent letters out and a local car dealer called and said he would help but does not know how to remove them cause he has never done it can anyone help?

  1. Most creditors use a subscription service to check and report their customer's payment history to credit bureaus. They can contact the credit bureau and request them to delete the inquiry initiated, this happen in rare cases because an inquiry will be deleted if and only the creditor/lender pulled the credit report without the customer's / credit seeker's permission.

  2. You should pull your credit reports and dispute the inquiry as "unauthorized". Call the dealer and tell him not to bother answering the dispute. That should get rid of this one in 30-45 days.
