  1. what you need to know is that they become spells after they are destroyed so elemnate them as spells or remove them from play as mnsters. main thing carry a skill drain to negate and elemanate the monster effect from the crystal beasts

  2. The CBs 'crystalize' if they are destroyed and take up an s/t zone.

There are 3 main strategies with CBs:

    1. Crystal Abundance

    2. Hamon

    3. Rainbow Dragon

The first works to fill the s/t zone with CBs and then fire back using the spell card Crystal Abundance to clear the field and special summon up to 5 CBs from the graveyard. This can result in massive damage and in most cases end the duel.

The second uses Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder by tributing 3 Crystal Beasts while they are in the s/t zone (they are treated as continuous spell cards).

The final strategy it to gather all 7 CBs and of course, summon Rainbow Dragon. This is made easier with the other support cards that CBs work with as well as the trap card Rainbow Gravity which special summons Rainbow Dragon from the deck or graveyard.
