  1. Cyclones are the same as Hurricanes. They cause heavy flooding resulting in mudslides and soil erosion aside from the damage they do to structures built on the land. They also cause beach erosion.

  2. If you're referring to a hurricane, the hard wind, rain and erosive effects of torrents of rushing water will have a washing away effect on the soil.  This can be shown by a river, such as the Mississippi, where, south of New Orleans a delta (of soil) deposited by the river, extends tens of miles into the Gulf of Mexico.  Not all was caused by hurricanes -- actually a very small percentage -- but the aforesaid is the most impressive geologic effect of hurricanes. Some tidal washing away of beaches and wetlands is usually replaced over time by passive tidal forces.

If you're asking about cyclones as tornados, the effect on the land is quite negligible and in most instances, immeasurable.

  3. The storm surge associated with cyclones inundates low lying areas of coastal regions with sea water ,eroding beaches and embarkments, destroying vegetation and reducing soil fertility.

Prolonged rains due to cyclones cause river floods.Floods due to storm surge pollute drinking water sources causing outbreak of epidemics.

  4. It can cause damage to the earth's continental and oceanic crusts.
