  1. Never say dumb! This person is deaf-blind. They learn to sign by touch (hand on hand). ANYTHING is possible.

  9. Begins with palm printing, progressing to sign language and then advancing to reading and writing in braille.

  10. Read the book about Helen Keller  (I think it's a book named after her...or another book named The Miracle Worker).  It'll explain it well and the story is good.

  11. Just because someone is deaf and blind DOES NOT MEAN they are dumb.
