  1. you would be due for ur baby round 24th may 2009 check out this website below i think its great hope this has helped.

  2. Im a midwife and i have a "pregnancy wheel" which helps work out a due date from the first day of your last period. According to my "pregnancy wheel" LMP (last menstrual period) being the 17/8/08 would give you a due date of 22/05/09.

Most women ovulate (release a mature egg from the ovary) 2 weeks  - 14 days after the first day of their last period. So you will probably ovulate at the end of this month, so you would most likely get pregnant at the end of august. Goodluck!!!

  3. usually by your lmp which you said was 8/17. that means you should ovulate around the 31st of this month and if conception takes place you'll be due May 24th.

  4. The Dr. determines your "estimated due date" based on the first day of your last period.  So by the time you actually conceive, they already consider you to be two weeks pregnant.  If you got pregant this cycle, your estimated due date would be around May 25.

As for figuring out the best times to have s*x in order to concieve, this depends a little bit on how long your cycle is.  Women with a 28-day cycle tend to ovulate around day 14.  So the general advice is to have s*x every other day around that time (days 12, 14, 16).

The best way to pin down your ovulation pattern is to use an over-the-counter ovulation predictor kit.  There are usually five to seven tests in the kit, and you pee on the stick once a day starting around day 11.  It gives you a positive result when it detects the LH surge which usually comes 24-48 hours before ovulation.

    Good luck!

  5. The easiest way, if you have reasonably regular periods, is to go back to the first day of the last period you had before becoming pregnant, and adding 280 days.

The optimal time to conceive would be mid-cycle.

In a normal 28 day cycle, counting the first day of your period as day 1, your best chances of conception would be to have s*x every day from day 10 to about day 16.
