How does a musical piece played with unweighted keys compare to it played with weighted keys?

I felt in love with Yiruma's River Flows in You and currently play it fairly well on my YPT-310 keyboard. My melody and timing is not a problem. The problem is the sound of my playing is never quite the same as the original. Could this be because I play with unweighted keys and the original is played with weighted keys?

What is the effect of unweighted keys on the playing a piano compared to weighted keys?

Playing a piano differs from person to person, in your unweighted keys you don't pluck hardly which definately creates difference.
