You get assignments to go and 'shop' or visit a certain place, could be a bank, could be buying a train ticket for example.

You get emails asking if you can do the assignment within the certain period (normally a week). You have to report back within that same day, and if you were assigned to purchase something, you need to keep the receipt so you can get your money back. You normally get paid in th region of £6-9 per assignment.

You do not get paid for travel. And you have to pass a test before they accept you becoming a mystery shopper.
