Question:

How does a person become President of the United States?

I remember the Smallville episodes where Jonathan Kent was running for governor of Kansas. I was just wondering if a "salt of the earth", middle class, normal, everyday guy like me can become President of the United States or if I need to be a politician to do that?

What are the requirements?
