  1. Hi,

If your ultimate goal is to create an online business, you really need to educate yourself on the basics of internet marketing before you start thinking about how much it's going to cost.

You can pick up a free ebook called "Online Business Basics" here: http://www.simple-internet-strategies.co... that will help you understand how business on the internet is done.

My advice to you is don't spend any money until you understand the basics. In the meantime, start writing down your ideas and when the time is right, you'll be ready to go.

    Best Regards,

    Healthy Mom

  2. 3 steps to creat your own web site

1-you need a domain name. (it cost $10~$15 a year)

2-you need a web hosting.   (it cost $5~$10 a month)

3-Design your site. (it cost $0~$200)

    (step1)

Your Domain Name is your address on the Web. Just like people use your phone number to call you on the phone, your Domain Name allows people to access your site on the Web. Clever, simple, or easy to remember Domain Names are most desirable as they can play a large part in attracting visitors to your site. Most Domain Names end with ".com" (such as Hostgool.com), but other extensions such as ".net" and ".org" are also available. In addition Domains can be used with your e-mail accounts allowing you to send and receive e-mail with addresses such as "support@yourcompany.com"

To Register your domain name or to know if your domain name available, Simply use this link http://www.hostgool.com/domain.htm

    (Step 2)

To have a Web site on the Internet you first need to have a Web server. Unfortunately, owning a Web server can be very costly and requires technical expertise that most businesses don't have. This is where Web Hosts come in. Web hosting companies provide the equipment and other technical resources that you need without the headaches that come when you have to do it yourself.

Think of a Web Host as the landlord of building. A landlord rents out storefronts to various businesses. Each business decorates and runs their store differently, and doesn't worry about the maintenance of the building. In a similar way a Web Host rents out space on a Web server, (or entire Web servers), to various businesses. Each business builds his or her own Web site and never has to worry about the maintenance of their Web server.

In other words, the Web Host provides the place on the Internet where your Web site lives. and you don't have to hire the technical staff to take care of it, you can simply do this here http://www.hostgool.com/shared.htm

    (Step3)

Building your own Web site can be very gratifying, but doesn't have to be very difficult. There are currently a lot of software packages available - such as Microsoft FrontPage - that make creating and publishing your Web site relatively quick and painless. Hostgool supports the use of most Web site design and publishing tools. If you find that you need help publishing your site, or are interested in more advanced Web site features.

  3. I was in your position about 9 months ago until I discovered Site Build It. They have a simple action guide that is available in video that walks you through the process. Everything is covered including brainstorming a profitable niche. Domain name & hosting. & of course a website builder that can be done with or without html.

Beyond that you get all the information you need to monetize your site once the traffic arrives. To help you get traffic they have a SEO program that tells you exactly what to do to get the best search engine ranking for your keywords.

All together you get autoresponders, content 2.0 capabilities, an ezine builder, and traffic analysis to help you build on your growing traffic. Over 70 tools/modules with step by step instructions on how  to build a profitable website.

It cost about $300 a year, worth over $5000 if you bought it all seperately. And best of all it is from a company who has been around over 10 years with a proven system that succeeds.

If you want to see a product review which covers all the details just visit the link in the source box below.

  4. Hi Smokkee

There are 3 key ways that you can put your website together.

1/ Outsource - get a professional web development agency to do the design and implimentation. The cost will vary depending on the size of site you want (number of pages), the type of site (a simple brochure, an e-commerce site etc) and the agency you select. This will probably provide you with the best site.

2/ Template. There are many companies on the web who (for a relativly small monthly fee) provide you with some tools to build your own site based on a range of their templates. The difficulty comes when the templates available do not match your requirements and that template sites tend to be pretty poor when it comes to the search engines.

3/ DIY. Get hold of some web development software, such as NVU (free from http://www.nvu.com), use http://www.picnik.com for editing your images and your imagination to develop the look and feel of your site. Remember tho, your pages need to open in 3-5 seconds (and not everybody has high speed ADSL/DSL access) and you only have a few short seconds to grab their attention.

Use AIDA (http://www.businessballs.com/salestraini... to help you think through the way that you will present the information.

Present your ideas as benefits to the visitor not just a list of features, keep your words and paragraphs short and succinct and ensure that the navigation is simple and intuitive.

This could go on forever - ultimately, a professional will help your sites make the best impression, the template route is pretty foolproof and the DIY approach is fraught with difficulties.

you can get much information in this website, stay a minute in website and check anyone link at a time, you can aslo get your answer in Google Search in this website, which has helped me alot

  6. It depends how you're going to use it. If it's for personal use you wont ming the url reading yourname.googlepages.com and perhaps you won't need more that the 100 Mb of storage Google Pages offers.

But if you want it for business you might want your own domain name, something like www.yourname.com and you could use a little more storage space.

I strongly recommend you hire a professional to handle the website designing. You can go to Elance.com, post your project and have professionals bid on it, you chose the lowest cost with the best feedback and, I assure, you'll end up with a very good, professional looking and appealing website for perhaps $50 - $200

You can host your site at Bluehost.com. They offer unlimited space, limited download bandwidth, web hosting and many other services from 6.95 a month and this includes 1 domain name.
