  1. You must first download it to your computer.

Your picture in Yahoo Answers can be an avatar or a photo that you supply.

If you want an avatar then go to http://avatars.yahoo.com and create or modify one.

If you would rather have a photo then first locate one on your computer. If it is online then download it.

Create a Yahoo 360 account if you don't have one. You can get one at http://360.yahoo.com .

Click on the "My Page" tab and then "Edit Personal Photos".

You are allowed to put four pictures there by following the instructions.

Mark the one you want to use as primary.

NOTE: You must be 18 or older to have a 360 account.

Now for either an avatar or a picture save everything and go back to Yahoo Answers.

Click on your old avatar in Yahoo Answers which brings you to your profile. Now go to "Edit My Info". You can pick the avatar or picture there to use.

  2. i think that you have to download it onto a picture file thing. then click on your avatar, say browse pictures and click on that file. ta-da!

  3. You can right click the photo and save picture as.

As longer as it is no bigger then a 5mg and a jpeg

Then you go to your 360 and click on 'my page'

Then click on 'edit personal photo

Click on browse and up load your photo there and set as primary and save,

Or upload it to Flickr photos and set it up from there

Remember to set photo to share with your public

You do need a 360 to use any photo or picture to add to your answers profile

The system is running slow due to Yahoo transition and may take a day or more to show up on the answers profile

  4. First, create a 360 space at http://360.yahoo.com . While logged into a yahoo service (mail, answers, whatever), type 360.yahoo.com in your web browser's address field (or just type 360 in a Yahoo! toolbar). Start creating your 360 space from there. Click the BIG YELLOW "Get Started" BUTTON on the far right section of that page!

After that, you can log in by by clicking on the teeny tiny "Sign-in" button on the upper left of the page. Then, the page refreshes and click on the teeny tiny "Yahoo 360 Home" link on the upper right of the page to get into the 360 space.

Make sure a JPEG formatted photo (with .jpg, .jpeg, .jpe extension) under 5MB is saved to your hard drive.

    - Click your "My Page" link at the top

    - Click "Edit Profile Photos" over the empty picture frame

    - Click "Browse" and upload photo into an empty field. Then click one "use as primary" radio button on the right before saving.

You can't upload more than 4 profile pictures (this includes an avatar). Make sure that you are following the 360 Personal Photo guidelines here: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/gui... .

Then, come back to Yahoo! Answers. Click the "My Profile" link to the upper right of this Yahoo! Answers page, then click "Edit My Info" in the top left box on the Answers profile page. Scroll down to the image section and check the option of showing the 360 picture. Click Preview and then the OK button.

NOTE: The image may not show up right away in Y/A, as it sometimes take days for the system to catch up. It will be blank, grayed out, or whatever until it does.

See more U.S. instructions at http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/pro...

By the way, you can be age 13 and over to have a 360 account. See http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/gui... .

  5. You can go to this web site type glittergraphics.com and then there would be a section were it says avatars just click on the one that you like and the download image once you do that just click on the right side and save as in your computer, then just to to your 360 and go were it says edit photo and click browse and save make sure you live it as a primary one if you have more than one, you can even put some backgrounds in it from that same web site, and you can go to your yahoo answers and choose if you like to have the same avatar that you have in your 360.
