How does a photo kiosk?

How do photo kiosks work? I want to get some pictures right away for a school project and was wondering if the kiosk is any faster than the one hour photo. I have my digital camera's memory card ready with about 10 pictures.

  1. The Kiosks mostly are done by you....so, unless you are familiar with it you might take longer than an hour.

One hour places are more likely to get you a better quality for less headache

  2. Gee.  I had never used a kisok before and banged out 30-some prints in about 10 minutes a couple of weeks ago.  I have quite a bit of experience with Photoshop Elements, but that probably had little to do with things, because I didn't do much cropping and so on.  If you got your pictures "right" in the camera, I don't see why printing 10 pics would take more than 5 minutes.  Just a couple of days ago, I went to a Kodak kiosk to do 5 prints and it took less than 5 minutes.

All you do is plug in your memory card and follow the menus from there.

If you have any questions, just ask someone in the store to show you how to do it.

You may be referring to a free-standing kiosk in a mall or something.  Go into a camera store or WalMart or pretty much any drug store and look for the "print it now" machines.  That's what I used.  This way, there will be someone available to help you.

An alternate, if you feel adventuresome is to upload to a site that will then deliver prints in an hour to their local vendor.  Most drug stores will do this and I know that you can send images from Flickr to Target to be picked up.
