  1. When it exceeds Mach 1, of course, with enough propulsion and stability.

  2. The speed of sound is 1230km/h when it is travelling at a temperature of 21 degrees.

Therefore any aircraft that can go faster than 1230km/h can break the sound barrier (go faster the sound)

  3. By giving extra thrust and by exceeding Mach 1.

  4. Alot of power, special designed intakes to make the air entering the engines subsonic, sleek aerodynamics be able to handle the shock wave, a laminar flow airfoil/circular arc airfoils, or a double wedge airfoil to deal with the shockwaves.

  5. THEY JUS HIT THE FRIGGIN AFTERBURNERS BRO! =D

  6. My answer would be a rephrasing of what JetDoc had said. Power is expended increasing speed and if you have enough energy to spend and a structure that can withstand the forces involved when such velocities are reached, the speed of sound is just a mark on your speed indicator.

  7. There's really no trick to it... All you need is enough power to propell your aircraft to high speeds, and the stability to hold everything together at those speeds.

  8. by going really fast

  9. Most modern combat aircraft can easily exceed the speed of sound.

  10. I suggest you visit the site below to get some facts on how can we fly faster than sound...

  11. Lots and lots of power
