How does a seahorse escapes from its predators

  1. Seahorses use camouflage as their defence against predators, and some species can change colours to match their surroundings.

    As they cannot move particularly fast the best defence they have once spotted is just to cling to something with their tail as hard as possible.  It doesn't really try to escape as such.  This is an especially poor defence against fishermen or collectors who just reach down and unwrap the tail from what ever it is holding on to.
