How does a single mom explain puberty to their son?

How does a single mom explain puberty, s*x, and differences to their son? How does a single mom deal with and explain having to do private things for their younger son (6y/o and under)? I.E. Doctoring their buttocks and private parts (which could be due to doctor's orders) for medical purposes, bathing, ect.

Maybe an uncle or close male can help you out. I can see where that would be difficult. But do not avoid it.

The same way any other parent does. I am married and have 4 boys and I have been the main person to discuss this stuff with them. Not sure why people think that only the same s*x parent must do it.

You start talking to them with age appropriate details at an early age so it is normal to them to talk about this stuff with you and then as the get older they won't feel uncomfortable.

It's only uncomfortable if you make it that way.
