  1. Sunlight in the form of photons hits the solar panels. The special semiconductors are electrified (in lay mans term) or gets exited. That electricity is stored in batteries and is used for electrification.

Currently the methods used have some limitations and therefore, only 45-50% of the sunlight can be converted and that too requires the angular tilt of the solar panels on house tops.

Not every bit of sun energy is tapped and utilized.

  2. hi,

The answers are as simple as you warming up in the sun and plants growing in your garden. And it’s as complex as using solar panels and photovoltaic cells to make electricity. Solar energy power. It's as complex as the human beings that use it.

Plants convert solar energy into chemical energy through photosynthesis. Eventually they became the fossil fuels that we now use so abundantly.

Hope this is useful for you............thnx

  3. Solar energy is used by humans in many ways, most popular are :

Solar water heaters : they have 70-8-% efficiency and are very economical. they use sunlight to heat water and store it in insulated tanks.

Solar PV Panels : These generate electricity from sunlight.

In natural process plants use sunlight to do photosynthesis and make food.

Solar cookers : These use sunlight to cook food.

  4. Photons from the Sun strike the surface of the photovoltaic (solar) cells, which are made of a semiconductor material like silicon.  These kinds of materials release electrons when they're struck by photons.  The solar system takes these released electrons and sends them through wires in a circuit.  Electrons in motion make a current, which is how we get electricity.
