Actually you dont campaign yourself for an Oscar...you are nominated..and then the board gets to pick.But to get nominated you have to act or record a very good movie...one that will bust the charts...Good Luck..

the academy elects actors/directors whatever.  you can't campaign yourself.  hence the name, the academy awards.  the academy is like, all the SAG directors or something, i forget, but a few of my friends parents are in it because theyre directors.
