  1. There may not be any ways to make big money in a short period of time, but there are quite a few ways she can make money.

Babysitting may be out because she's a bit too young, but she could be a mother's helper, watching younger children while the mother or father is around, but busy with other things.  She can play with the kids and take care of making them a simple lunch or help a mom--pregnant moms love this--keep track of their kids at a playground.

Another thing a ten year old can do is to have a yard sale, selling clothes that don't fit, toys that aren't fun any more, books, videos, and anything else her family will give her to sell.  It helps clear out the house and makes her some money at the same time, not a bad deal.

If she's clever at something like drawing or making something in the kitchen, she can offer it for sale.  I saw a story on television about a girl who developed a line of cards and sold them and another story about a brother and sister who made candy and ended up having a successful company selling candy online.

She can take younger kids to the library for their parents, maybe to attend a reading program that the library holds during the summer.

She can offer housecleaning help--if she is willing to do a GREAT job and if she'll learn from her parents how to do a great job vacuuming, cleaning windows, dusting, just simple things that people would like to get out of for a while.  My first spending money was earned scrubbing a long staircase every Saturday.  I hated those stairs, but they really did teach me how good it felt to earn my own money.

I hope the ten year old girl has a good summer with some extra cash she earns for herself.

  2. Ask your mom or dad, if they want you to wash their cars, for a small fee. Or see it they have anything you can do for them.

    Ask grandmas and grandpas too.

  3. Well, when I was your age, I mowed lawns, babysat, did odd jobs and errands for people, charged siblings for favours... It's hard making money at that age- I remember well!!! The best you can do is keep your eyes peeled for the opportunities. Maybe have a yard sale even, or a bake sale.  If you have a craft, you can try and sell that. Hope I've helped!!

  4. Mow the lawn. Clean the house. Display your proficiency at some of your scholastics. Walk dogs. Wash cars.

  5. wwell im 14 now and i was always wanting cash....wen i was 10 my dad  only gave me $5 a week but if i really sucked up to  him and exaguated after i did the  vacuuming  or somthing hed give  me  a little $$$$ ..... but now i got a job  so  sucked in...lol
