How does a typical muay thai class go?

what kind of stuff do they do, solo work, partners?

i want to start real soon, so i kinda want to know what to expect on my first day

  1. first some warmups stretching,

    thenmaybe some endurance training,

    then a majorityof teh lesson practising technique/learningnew strike

    and ussually some sparring towards the end!

  2. * We usually a good stretching session

    * Then a little cardio to get your heart rate up

    * Followed by some shadow boxing and heavy bag work

    * Then nte "lessons" for the day

    * Implement the taught techniques with a partner

    * Sparring - light or hard depending on skill level

    * We finish off with hardcore excersises for core strength and endurance.....sprints w/ weight or relay sprints......sometimes we'll use a gi belt and wrap it around your partners waste and try to hold them back while the run while throwing a punch/elbow combo followed with a knee.

    The end of class workout is optional unless you have an upcoming fight in our class in which you're worked up to muscle failure almost every class.

  3. 1st - skipping 4 about 10mins

    2nd - stretches/ putting hand wraps on

    3rd - shadow boxing

    4th - heavy bag work and partner work with pads and focus mitts,

    5th - finally a light round of shadow boxing, followed by strength exercises, such as push-ups, chin ups and dips, as well as sit-ups and crunches.

  4. Kicking trees down...tying steaks around your legs and then running from wolves...torch fighting blind folded etc.
