Question:

How does a unregistered homeschooler do the HSC?

  1. Hi Luke, You dont need your HSC.  You can sit an entrance exam once you have chosen the course you want to do at uni/tafe or if you dont want to continue in higher education you can get your parent to write a transcript of your studies for prospective employers.  Both of these are totally acceptable.  Lots of employers/unis here prefer the stronger work ethic of homeschooled people, unis in particular love the way homeschoolers are well disciplined to study.


  2. What country are you in, and what's the HSC?  (I'm assuming it's something that's not in the US?)

    Edit: Gotcha.  We don't have anything like that in the US, so I don't want to guess and give you incorrect info, but there are some very knowledgeable Aussie homeschoolers that are on this board on a daily basis.  They should be able to help you :-)
