How does a vegetarian cut out bad carbs?

trying to lose weight...

unfrotunately i have an addiction to chocolate

and i love ciabbatta bread , but if only have these carbs once a day eg at lucnh, how bad is it..

anywya i dont see how a vegetarian cuts out carbs it seems impossible. i do like mung beans but theres nothing much else i can think of that actually fills me up.

  1. dont cut them out..muscles need both carbs and protein to survive...just keep it in moderation,,,workout doing cardio and toning exercises 5 days /week


  2. you can eat complex carbs like 100% whole wheat breads, whole wheat muffins and bagels, whole wheat pasta, brown rice, quinoa, oatmeal, barley, oat bran,.

  3. Just stay away from refined carbs like white flour, and sugary things. Eat plenty of whole grains. Cutting carbs will not make you lose weight in a healthy way. Especially as a veggie (I'm one too =) we need our whole grains, beans, nuts, seeds, etc. to get the right nutrients.

    If you watch your calories and eat a balanced diet most of time (still eat chocolate of course!), and exercise, that's how you lose weight.
