How does a vegetarian say 100 animals a year?

On PETA's website they say that vegetarians save 100 animals a year. How? Are 100 animals simply not bred? Are 100 animals given a little longer life? Or do they release 100 animals into the wild? How does it save 100 animals?

I am a veg*n, not trying to be one of those rude trolls.

  1. 100 animals are simply not bred.

  2. That is not true. PeTA tends to exaggerate so I would not pay too much attention to everything they say.

You cannot save things that do not exist anymore than you can kill those who have not lived. That is just twisted logic and does not really mean anything.

But the second poster is right though. You do not willingly contribute to the factory farming industry in particular and animal exploitation in general.

  3. If costs go down the more people will buy meat more often.

  4. 100 are not killed for meat, so 100 are not bred into that life.   supply and demand.  demand is down, supply does down or costs go down.

  5. you dont eat 100 animals...they are still bred but vegetarians and vegans are not giving thier money to support the murder of animals used for meat

i would rather be never created tha be born and grow up on a factory farm
