  1. Air masses are just a body of air moving from its source region in which it originated. Air doesn't have any particular special flow within the air mass itself, except along frontal boundaries. Along cold fronts on east side of the boundary air flows from SW and on the west boundary air flow from NW. A warm front east side of the boundary air flows from the SE and on the west side of the boundary air  flows from the SW.  However, it depends on topography because if you live in area with mountains that can change its direction. In a low pressure air flows inward and rotates counterclockwise and high pressure air flows outward and rotates clockwise...
