How does airsofting in a field work?

Question

i go paintball at places where you can air soft. And i was wondering how do you play air soft in a field is it like paintball if you get shot your out? and if it is can you just lie cause there's not mark?

You play with hits, when you are hit you follow different procedures depending on the game, and depending on the field they may play with safety kills which you can call if you are behind someone and really close and your BBs may hurt him. Also depending on the field or game you may use a kill rag(normally red) to put on your head to signify your dead. Or some other signal that you are dead.

One more thing you should do is to have fun and the last thing in your mind should be winning.
