  1. Definitely. Many crimes such as rape, and murder would not have occurred without alcohol or drugs being involved. Many of the people that do them are on the verge of doing crimes, but alcohol lowers the inhibitions that would stop them. Alcohol is a depressant that lowers the social inhibitions.

  2. It takes away inhibitions so its easier for them to murder & rape. Some people are so nasty they don't need alcohol to murder & rape. They would be diagnosed as most likely as a sociopath or a psychopath. There's not much of a difference. One is just plain mean & the other is mean& f'de in the head.

  3. It hurts security of  mind. It disturbs nervous systems.

  4. You're using a very specific term, "criminally insane."  Most rapists and serial killers do not fit the legal definition of insanity, which varies from location to location but usually is defined as the person not knowing that their actions are wrong or not being able to control their behavior. These people are criminals, but rarely insane. Because the group of serial killers who have been found to be legally insane is so small, research on them is limited.

If what you mean is how does alcohol affect the minds of those who are inclined to commit murders and rapes, then that's another matter. Serial rapists in particular often drink before committing their crimes. Alcohol acts to remove inhibitions, so if the person is inhibiting a desire to rape or murder, alcohol will make them more likely to do it.

  5. The same as it affects anyone else's I would think.

Even people that are none of these things you mentioned can have complete personality changes through Alcohol.

Some become Violent,Some become Tearful or soppy, others are a Danger to themselves and most are just plain boring and stupid when over their limit.

[ before thumbing me down] I am a recovering Alcoholic so I am talking through experience not judgement.
