If I buy an MP3 player, how do I put the music and other things from my computer onto it? I nearly bought one the other day, but I'm not sure if it's easy to do what I want.

  1. I'm pretty sure that most MP3 players come with or have a specific program that allows you to add music and sync  with your MP3 player.

For example, an iPod uses the iTunes program, which allows you to add music, videos, etc., buy music, videos, games, etc., and sync it with your iPod when you plug it in to your computer.

  2. Outside of the ipod, most MP3 players use WMP11 as the main tool to transfer songs from your Music library on the PC to the player.

Make sure you have at least XP SP2 on your PC.

  3. If you buy an MP3 player it will come with an instructions manual.

They're pretty easy to use but depends what make you get; some are more confusing that others.

I have an ipod and its pretty easy to use. When you get an MP3 you should just simply plug it into your computer; the MP3 will come with a USB connector. Then on screen instructions will appear and you just follow them, then your MP3 will be installed to your computer so everytime you connect it then your computer will recognise it. When its all connected you just locate the MP3 files by going onto My Computer. Double click on the MP3 and it will open a folder. Then you just need to load music to your computer and drag it into the MP3 folder. It will then sync to your MP3 player.

If you buy an ipod the same applies but you need to download itunes and create a library.

    Hope that helped.
