    That said, I agree with the other poster that making an offer that is 10% off the asking price is unlikely to be accepted, but there's no harm in trying. Usually you'll get a counter offer, although you do run the risk of insulting the seller with such a lowball bid after only 12 days, and they might not counter.

    A lot depends on if they are desperate or not.


  2. That's a pretty low offer for a house only on the market for 12 days. I wouldn't be surprised if it's not accepted. That's over 22,000 lower than the asking price. Maybe if the house had been on market for 6 months or more...
