Question:

How does apple cider vinegar taste if used in a vinaigrette?

Because I read that apple cider vinegar is the healthiest vinegar that you can use. I am used to using balsamic vinegar in my salad and I lovee the taste of it. How much different is the apple cider vinegar? I'm guessing that it's closer to red wine vinegar but with a slight apple flavor?

It would help if you could give me a tasty salad dressing recipe that uses apple cider vinegar, but it's not necessary.

Thanks!

  1. i actually have used all types of vinegars and they all taste great in a salad.  I do prefer red wine vinegar and balsamic, but white vinegar and white balsamic and apple cider vinegar is fine!

  2. I rather use the apple cider vinegar myself.  We just use the apple cider vinegar, oil and salt.  My favorite thing is to cut up some cabbage use more vinegar than oil so it has a make you make an ugly face  first bite and put it in the fridge overnight, or eat it right then...We call it an Italian coleslaw LOL

  3. eh i like red wine vinegar the best

  4. There's really no evidence that apple cider vinegar does anything for your health, but there is evidence that balsamic vinegar makes a great vinaigrette. I'd stick with the balsamic.
