  1. high in trans fats

  2. It's delicious!  I keep a separate container for it and pour the bacon fat into it after cooking bacon then use it instead of other oils or fats for things like eggs, hash brown potatoes, green beans.  You get the idea!  It is an animal fat so it's worse for us (so they say) than some of the other oils and fats, but used in moderation, you can't beat the extra flavor that it adds!

I keep the container in the fridge when not in use to keep the bacon fat from going rancid.  It turns solid quite quickly once it's off the heat.

  3. yes, if you like bacon.

(i hate it, with a passion.)

but it makes things taste.. bacony.

the other night i had made some bacon, and my siblings ate it all.

and i didnt have any cooking oil.

so i fried some shrimp in bacon.

i basically used every spice that sounded like it would be good with shrimp, or bacon.

and it may have been the most delicious shrimp i have ever tasted.

    seriously delicious.

  4. The fat from bacon is called lard. It is very good for roasting potatoes in.

  5. you bet!!! Tastes great!!! High fat content though... so if you are worried about that then you may want to avoid it!!!

  6. yes its delicious

  7. I makes it's own oil from the fat that is on the beacon..No it is not good for you but the flavor is wonderful..It won't kill you just don't eat it all the time
