How does being a reserve flight attendant really work?

i got hired for an airline but as a reserve flight attendant, and i am just little scared as to how all that will work. Will i actually be able to have a 2nd job? and why do i have to live near my domicile? How does the scheduling work for reserve flight attendants?

You should be able to have a 2nd job.  If you are not available when they call, just tell them that.  You need to live near an airport so you can get there quickly if they need you.  Most calls are last minute.  Scheduling stinks and is almost always last minute.  Good luck!
