How does being left haned affect your life span?

i was reading it off of fun facts and it said right handed people live 9 years longer than left handed people.now im left handed so im wondering wats so special about right handed people that they live longer! is it a myth or is it HONESTLY real? please i need answers!!! <=(

  2. If it did matter to any degree it would be taken into account in the construction of mortality tables, and it isn&#039;t.

  3. It is probably real, but it may simply be because the world&#039;s oldest people did not tolerate left handers in their generation. And so left handers are a generation younger, which obviously brings the average lifespan down quite a bit. It may however be that the left side of the brain (exercised by a right hand) is more vital than the right side of the brain (which is exercised by the left hand). It has been proven that the purposes of the different sides of the brain are different, and affects things like creativity and memory, so it may well affect the lifespan.

  4. i say ignore it. hands hav nutin 2 do wit life span unless u hav some sort of cancer or disease in them.
