Countries known for their wine (France and Italy, for example) are warmer than the ones (Belgium and the U.K., for example) that are known for their beers. There are a few exceptions. Germany produces some good wine but is known more for its beers. The U.S. produces both but we are a large country with a diversity of climates, from tropical to polar.
