How does betting the Over/Under in Baseball pay out?

How should I bet over/ under in baseball, do you have to pick a baseball team to get the pay right or can you just pick Over or Under. I would really like to get into Baseball betting, I'm getting tired of Basketball.

You don't pick a team so it dosen't matter who wins. You just pick whether the total number of runs scored in the game goes over or under the number. If the total falls exactly on the number of runs scored it is a push and you get your money back. That is why most often you will see totals with fractions of runs.
