How does blood group get transmitted to offsprings of parents with differing Blood groups & RH factor?

In other words what is the priority of blood group in offspring, which RH factor takes precedence etc.

  1. There is only one Rhesus factor, so if you have it then you are Rh +, and if you don't you are Rh -. It's not like blue or brown eyes.

    Even one copy of the Rh gene will make you positive, so every Rh negative person lacks both genes. So an Rh positive child must have at least one Rh positive parent.


  2. Blood groups have 3 alleles: A, B and O. If u have A and O alleles, ur blood group is A recessive.  If u have B and O alleles, ur blood group is B recessive.  If u have A and B alleles, ur blood group is AB.  If u have O and O alleles, ur blood group is O. If u have A and A or B and B, u r A dominant or B dominat respectively.

    U get 1 allele from each parent, so mix and match :)

    RH is is the presence or absence of certain antigen on the blood cell surface.
